Attorney Laura
Anthony is an honors graduate from Florida State University and has
been practicing law since 1993. After receiving her Juris Doctorate
she was admitted to the Florida Bar and began her career in West Palm
Beach, Florida where she developed an expertise in the fields of corporate,
business and securities law.
Ms. Anthony is
regularly lead counsel in multi-million- dollar, complex mergers and
acquisitions, and asset purchase transactions. She has acted as issuer’s
counsel in the raise of tens of millions of dollars in both debt and
equity through private and public offerings.
In 1999 Ms. Anthony
became Chief Legal Counsel for a national investment banking firm and
NASDAQ broker dealer with over 200 employees. Ms. Anthony created, staffed
and managed the firm's legal and compliance department and coordinated
all legal work for the firm in regard to NASD and SEC regulations, NASD
arbitrations, and public and private transactions.
Ms. Anthony founded
Legal & Compliance, LLC to represent small and mid-size private
and publicly held companies, their officers and directors, as well as
broker-dealers and their employees.
The firm’s
trademark philosophy is to practice law from a business perspective,
